U-lite Linux

As I go about working on U-lite 0.9, you can check out what I have in a testable state here:

I wanted to make a post that I have updated the U-lite Home Page Beta (removed). This is not only for those of you who subscribe by RSS but also to those who looked at the previous iteration and saw it to just be a text box and moved on. It is not that that is all I wanted but rather that I thought I should take some suggestions and that really paid off. No Alternative suggested in the last thread a dropdown box to select other types of search. That feature has been partially implemented.

I would like to introduce an idea I am working on called U-lite Home Page. It could be sat as the default home page in U-lite. It is currently at (removed). I encourage everyone to try it out and if you like it, you can set it as your home page.

Second, I have finally updated the install script so it should be working. It is now named install_ubuntulite_nouveau2.

I created a simple survey people to complete to help determine the browser in the next version. It is a short 3 questions, 2 of which are optional. I encourage everyone to complete the survey.

Has it been 3 years already? Well it will be next month. In the spirit of a re-birthday for the project, I would like to once again encourage everyone who has not yet donated to donate in the Hosting & Domain ChipIn campaign. It goes to a great cause and I hope everyone will consider it. I have not gotten any feedback on my ideas for the next update of the site so I hope everyone likes them. Just to recap, the plan might be to use phpbb or similar to host a forum and create simple static pages for the various information that rarely changes about the project.
