determine current screen resolution?

I have sucessfully installed U-lite. How does one determine the current screen resolution (e.g. 1024 x 768 )?

I assume it means the device driver for you monitor

The first question was: you're standing there in front of your computer- how do you tell what the current resolution is?

Regarding the second question. I looked into lxrandr and learned how to set the resolution (and it worked). But I'm still wondering what was being to refered to when that person wrote "if a driver is installed." Did they mean third party driver? or "driver installed" as opposed to you're in non-graphical mode because no display drivers installed during OS installation?
