kazehakase alert(PLEASE READ!)Apparently Kaz doesn't work with the latest xulrunner that gets installed when you install firefox 3. When you do this kaz will crash when you try to go to a website. When you open kaz by typing kazehakase in the console, you will get this error. Kazehakase-Gecko-ERROR **: KzGeckoEmbed: Faild to init KzMozWrapper! First off. Please do not remove kazekahase since it part of the u-lite script and you will end up removing the entire u-lite package as well. This include lxde, abiword, gnumeric and all the other default packages. These are the packages you had after you first installed u-lite. In order to correct this error you can try to install this patch. http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=75699 If you don't have the skills to install a patch, you should install the webkit layout engine, and use webkit instead of the gecko layout engine. To install and setup webkit, search for kazehakase webkit in synaptic. Synaptic can be found in the Applications/system tools menu, Download kazehakase webkit. Then open kaz and get into edit/preferences in the menu. Go to the general tab. Change the ul from beginner to expert. Then go to the browser tab. Choose webkit_gtk for the layout engine setting. You may also want to go to the entry tab and click the autocompletion setting. Apply then restart. You can change the ul back to beginner if you are more comfortable. If you really want a light gecko browser download epiphany. You can find this in synaptic too. Just search for epiphany and download it. You can also try some of the superlight browsers like links2, w3m and netsurf. Of coarse you can prevent this problem entirely by not installing firefox 3. Firefox 2 is ok, and is still available in the hardy repos. |

history cache
To speed it up you might also want to enable the history cache under edit/preferences/history. Enable it for a couple of days. It will speed things up.
