Major News: U-lite Linux Project officially Nonprofit Corporation

I proudly announce that U-lite Linux Project is now officially a Nonprofit Corporation that was incorporated in the State of Missouri. In the future, official 501 (c)(3) determination will be sought. I would like to share the official certification certificate with you. A page will soon be created to store information about the U-lite Linux Project.

Was achieving Nonprofit certification really difficult?

We just went through the equivalent process to create a Registered Society here in Singapore, and it was a major hassle. I'm curious to compare the US to Singapore.

Congratulations, Shae!! Way to go. So it looks like U-Lite is not going to be "swallowed up" by Lubuntu after all, I hope.

Most of the stuff I have read leads me to believe that Lubuntu will end up weighed down and as bloated as Xubuntu has, despite the "lightweight" distro they were aiming for.

This is very good news!
