Site states a low process/memory footprint and RAM logging by default, but gives no image-size or RAM figures.

DietPi calls itself “an extremely lightweight Debian OS, highly optimised for minimal CPU and RAM resource usage.” The stable default is based on Debian 13 (Trixie), with Debian 12 and 14 also available.

The project lists support for more than 80 devices: Raspberry Pi models 1–5, Odroid, PINE, NanoPi, Radxa, Orange Pi and ASUS Tinker boards, virtual machines, native x86_64 PCs, and RISC-V boards (VisionFive 2, Star64).

Its “DietPi-Software” tool installs popular software pre-configured, and logging to RAM by default reduces writes to SD cards.
